Adam Deathe, a 42-year-old professional from Durham, met Heather Carter Deathe, 39, from Atlanta online, and flew 4,000 miles for their first date in the USA, taking her ring shopping and later bought it, before proposing and marrying her on the Greek island of Kefalonia in August 2017, just nine months after they first spoke.
Now having navigated a transatlantic move to be together, Heather, who has finally moved to the UK after months of waiting in Atlanta for her visa to be approved (seen on their wedding day with Adam's sons Toby, 16, and Louis, 12, and Heather's daughter Sophie, 19)
Heather joined dating site eHarmony in November 2016, after being single for about nine months and matched with Adam 24 hours later.
