JAY-Z is known for being outspoken about issues like prison reform and racism, recently penning an op-ed for the New York Times decrying the judge’s decision in Meek Mill’s probation hearing earlier this month.
Even at his concerts, the legendary rapper has no problem taking a break to casually help dismantle the racist patriarchy that is the United States of America. At a ‘4:44’ Tour stop in Cleveland Sunday night, JAY-Z gave an inspiring speech to a 9 year old girl in the audience.
“You can be anything that you want to be in the world,” JAY-Z says to the girl. “At this very moment America is way more sexist than they are racist, but you young lady, you got the potential to be the next president of the United States, you believe that.”
