Christopher Ammons Kemp kicked his unborn baby to death days before he was due to become a father to his high school sweetheart's child, a trial has been told.
Christopher Ammons Kemp, 31, is charged with capital murder during the course of a burglary and first-degree degree domestic murder.His ex-girlfriend, Jessica Jackson, survived the attack after being severely beaten outside Hoover home in north central Alabama two year ago.
She was 37 weeks pregnant, and their unborn daughter died from multiple injuries including fractured bones, a fractured skull and lacerated organs.
Prosecutors told Jefferson Country Circuit judge Laura Petro the case was about a 'jilted ex who felt like he was being pushed out.'
