Hero Mom Killed In A New Jersey House Collapse Shielded Her Youngest Daughter

Tika Justice, 38, was killed when her New Jersey home collapsed, as she shielded her daughter, 16, from derbis when the structure came down, authorities said.

Justice was inside with her two daughter, ages 16 and 20, who both survived. The oldest daughter was rescued from the rubble shortly after responders arrived on scene, but the teen was not freed until one hour and 40 minutes later.

The sisters remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition, authorities said Hamilton Township Fire District No. 3 Capt Ferdinand.
